10 September 2026, Medan — The 1st IMT-GT Green City Award Ceremony was held in Medan, Indonesia, recognising cities across the subregion for their efforts and achievements in advancing sustainable and inclusive urban development.
Held in conjunction with the 32nd IMT-GT Ministerial Meeting, the inaugural Green City Award recognised 12 winners across five categories, celebrating cities that have demonstrated strong commitment to green growth, environmental sustainability, climate action, and improved quality of life for their communities.
The award marks an important milestone in IMT-GT’s efforts to promote sustainable urban development and encourage cities across the subregion to share good practices, strengthen collaboration, and pursue greener and more resilient urban futures.
